Brief: MX Player is an Indian OTT platform and a global offline video player, created by J2 Interactive and owned by Times Internet, the digital media division of Times Group. It has a base of 350+ million users in India 

 

Currently, MX Player has an interface for mobile, desktop and TV  and now planning for iPad native app.

Problem Identification

Disregard of context. A lack of understanding of how, when, where and why the iPad is being used.

Multiple users would be sharing the iPad so there might be chances of confusing flow, layout, and taxonomy.

Target Audience

Purchasers of the iPad, tend to include college students, business travelers, tech-savvy consumers, and illustrators. The target demographic in terms of age would be those between the ages of 18 - 50, with a geographic target of urban environments.
